Stay Organised

As the saying goes, “when you fail to plan, you have planned to fail.” We can’t really attain greatness if we are not organised. It is so important to planstay organized because in the day and age that we are in, we have so much to do at any given time and it could be very overwhelming if we don’t learn proper organisation. When we fail to plan, we find out that at the end of the day, we don’t get much done as we really want to.  Luke 14:28, talks about counting the cost before building the house. It is so important for you to plan and take stock of what you are about to do.

I had the opportunity of reading an article in a magazine about Mother Theresa’s life. I found out that this woman was highly organised. She built a very impactful, effective system and organisation that has continued even after her death. In the article, they revealed some details about her life and I could see that she was a very organised and detailed person. When we talk of being organised, we are talking about someone that organises oneself, the person has a to do list, plans and attaches timelines to the various things that he/she wants to do. If we don’t do that, we will find out that at the end of the day, week, and month, we would not have achieved much. Don’t be someone who has a ‘to do list’ and never looks at it, and the day you stumble on it, it is like ‘oh my’ I have hardly done anything at all. A lot of interruptions come into your days through phone calls, SMS, emails but when you are organised and plan for the day, you would be able to minimise all the interruptions

To understand the importance of organisation, time planning is needful, because time doesn’t wait for anyone and it keeps on ticking. As such we have to maximise our time. Our ability to achieve anything great in life requires us to be disciplined with what we do with our time. Being organised is something you can learn, it doesn’t just fall on you and it doesn’t just come naturally, you have to work at it till it becomes part of you. Begin by writing down what you need to do or problems you need to solve so you won’t get lost in the process. Tackle the problems that influence your daily life and focus on finding solutions to them.

stayWhen we fail to plan it affects our emotional life because we can get stressed between activities. Take a few minutes to meditate and be at peace within, don’t rush at things, relax and take time to plan. You cannot be productive or achieve your goal if you are involved in several activities. Focus on one thing at a time.

This week I want to encourage you to plan daily so that no area of your life suffers. Make sure that you stay organised.

You will succeed in Jesus name. Amen.

Godly woman and enterprise

The Proverbs 31 woman is someone most people think is not real because she doesn’t have a name and we find it difficult to believe that it is possible for one person to have the capacity to do all she did according to the bible. Deborah was a prophetess, a judge, a spiritual and committed leader in her community. It was not mentioned if she had kids, but she was a spiritual mother to Barak and others.

A lot of women want to start their business, some want to build their career or rise up the career ladder, while some want to impact their world and make a difference. However, they   don’t know how to balance this part of their lives – their personal life with the home front.

As women, a lot of us don’t get to use half of the potentials that God has placed on our inside and it is because of cultural and societal excuses. Some women think that they are meant to be homemakers, have children and just give pleasures to their husbands. This is just a fraction of the entirety of what God has programmed for us; it is now left for us to discover and develop the talent, potential or gift that is inside of us.

There are some women who have made a success of their lives, some women have skilfully built multinational companies and others have governed nations coupled with being mothers as well. If those women can do it, I honestly believe that the Proverbs 31 Woman is real and is not an idealistic being.

As a woman you must tell yourself that you can attain the highest level that God has designed for your life. If you have that in your heart, you will not belittle yourself. Some people ask. “Can a woman have it all?” Yes, a woman can be all that God has purposed for her to be; she can fulfil all her potentials.  There is more we are capable of doing as women so let us not short-change or limit ourselves.

I want to ask you as a woman to to sit back and ask yourself, what else can I do apart from what I am doing right now? In the business of your day, look at areas where you can put in those things you have capacity for.  You can live an amazing life as a woman because there is always room for you to be able to do more with your life. Romans 12:2 admonishes us to take our everyday life and give it to God rather than trying to run it by ourselves.

Please note, whatever you are doing in your career or business, you must take care of the home front; prepare for your family ahead so that your loved ones don’t miss out on anything.

This week, I want to encourage you as a woman to ask God to help you discover that potential, talent or gift on the inside of you so you can develop it and be all that he has purposed for you to be in life. Don’t be satisfied with less when you can be or do much more.
